Do you have a license and insurance?Yes, Freedom Contractors carries $2 million General Liability Insurance as well as full Worker's Compensation coverage. Insurance documentation available upon request. Freedom Contractors is a licensed General Contractor in nearly all municipalities in the Denver Metro Area. Our licenses are transferrable to any new jurisdiction that we have not worked in previously.

Do you require a deposit before starting a project?Yes. Before starting your project, we request a 20% down payment of your total project cost to sign the contract. Don't worry, payment terms are clearly defined within your contract. Why? 🧐 Commitment: It shows that you are serious about the project and helps secure time and resources. Materials and Initial Work: It helps cover the costs of initial materials and labor. Risk Reduction: It reduces the risk for last minute contract cancellation or non-payment.

What are the full payment terms after I sign a contract?After you have signed and agreed to your contract terms, we require: A deposit of 20% is due upon acceptance of this quote for Freedom Contractors to hold dates for completion of this project in our schedule. A payment of 40% is due upon arrival of materials at the job site. A payment of 20% is due upon Substantial Completion of deck framing. A payment of 20% is due upon Substantial Completion of scope of work.

What are the consequences of late payments?If any payment isn't made on time, interest will be charged on all overdue amounts at 26% per year or the maximum percentage permitted by law, whichever is less.

Can I get a refund on my deposit?Deposits will only be refunded if a governing body, like an HOA or Building Department, issues a complete denial of the proposed work.

Why is the initial deposit non-refundable under most circumstances?Freedom Contractors commit significant resources to the planning of each project, making most deposits non-refundable unless there's a complete denial of the proposed work by a governing body.

Will I be responsible for any additional costs if my payment is late?Yes, if you are late, you will be responsible to cover all collection costs, including but not limited to reasonable attorney fees.

I live in an HOA, do I need their approval to build a deck, pergola, or patio cover?Before starting a project with Freedom Contractors, we ask that you check with your HOA to ensure your project request is approved by your HOA first. Homeowners are responsible for any and all necessary HOA approvals being issued prior to commencement of work.
